He shoots features, documentaries and commercials. He has shot commercials for Guess?, Siemens, WebMD, Target, Lucent, MTV, A&E, Jivamukti and Parenting Magazine. His features and documentaries have been screened in festivals and theaters internationally (Sundance, Canne, Berlin, Toronto & at the MoMA).

His film, The Hidden Hand; Alien Contact and the Government Cover-up, has won 5 awards and was in Amazon’s and Netflix’s top 10 documentary category for 3 weeks.

This is to promote the STEINER EAST VILLAGE luxury apartments on 438 East 12th St which Doug Steiner chose to clad in Danish Brick, chosen for its beautiful hues that respect the surrounding aesthetic of the East Village.

Tribute to the Fortune 500 corporations that work with WebMD.

A commercial for WebMD shot by James Carman. Produced by Curious Pictures in New York and Tomato Films in London. This commercial was shot by projecting graphics onto a screen and then James Carman would hold up filters and pieces of glass in order to distort the texts and cause ghosting effects.

WebMD is best known as a health information services website, which publishes content regarding health and health care topics, including a symptom checklist, pharmacy information, drugs information, blogs of physicians with specific topics, and providing a place to store personal medical information.[3]

During 2015, WebMD’s network of websites reached more unique visitors each month than any other leading private or government healthcare website, making it the leading health publisher in the United States.[4] As of February 2016, WebMD has recorded an average of 206 million unique users per month, and 4.00 billion page views per quarter.

United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education.

This video shows excerpts of the PRME United Nation’s Global Compact conference from June 2015. They spoke about how to get big business and business schools involved in conserving our environment. Produced and directed by James Carman.

The mission of PRME is to transform management education, research and thought leadership globally by providing the Principles for Responsible Management Education framework, developing learning communities and promoting awareness about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The Six Principles of PRME are inspired by internationally accepted values, such as the United Nations Global Compact’s Ten Principles, and provide an engagement structure for academic institutions to advance social responsibility through incorporating universal values into curricula and research. They seek to establish a process of continuous improvement among institutions of management education in order to develop a new generation of business leaders capable of managing the complex challenges faced by business and society in the 21st century.
